How much free time does a Live-in Carer have?
– Officially, the Live-in Carer has 2 hours free time each day. Full day-offs are not available during the placement.
The Live-in Carer lives with the person who needs care 7 days a week, so the Live-in Carer works every day during the placement. The Live-in Carer’s working hours will vary dependent upon the level of care needed. Each day the Live-in Carer will be entitled to 2 hours free time each day, and during this time you can leave the house. However, during your stay with the service user, the Live-in Carer will not be working consistently throughout the day. Once the daily tasks have been done the Live-in Carer can relax in the company of the service user. The working hours and the duties depend upon the daily routine and the conditions of the client. So, it is not a 24-hour long shift. Once your daily routines are done, and service users requirements are filled, the Live-in Carer can also relax.

Can you help Ukrainian, Serbian, Croatian or other non EU citzens?
– Romanian and Bulgarian citizens can work from 2014 without restrictions in the UK. For more information please see www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk
Other candidates outside the EU must have full time working visa to apply for the Live-in Carer positions. Unfortunately we are not able to provide any invitation letter for working visa application or organize such procedure.
Outside EU citizens are also welcome as long as they already have the visa to work full time in the UK.
